Star Corp. Motors

Hi all,

Been designing a lot of cars in Automation for now and thought to share 'em a little.

Uploading the first car for the Star Corp.I at least tried to make my cars realistic in price, unsure if they are though...

So, here is the companies start; a tiny 100 R4 from 1940. Has a small low quality straight 4 in it from whence the model name R4 comes.

I really dont know if I should upload different versions of the same car as they have a little different looks(higher end models have foglights or wings or more vents or whatever) as well different engines, suspensions, gearboxes, interiors... Problem relies on only beeing able to upload 3 attatchments per post.

Showing the companies first sports car today aswell, the Star SCL from 1955. Beeing a luxury sports coupe performance is not the greatest, but for driving enthusiasts there was a SCS version which was lighter, had different gear ratios and tyres(not uploading any pictures or data from it as for now since the engine was exactly the same).

Re: Star Corp. Motors

You can use imgur for images. Though I'd try to at least crop them if you plan on uploading a lot of them. Makes it bit easier for people with dial-up quality connection. As far as car is concerned I think 60 HP engine might be bit too much for these skinny long-life tires. Hint: first VW Beetle had 25 HP engine and actually was bit heavier than your car. Try building (even) smaller 20-30 HP engine and see what happens to stats.

Cropping not resizing. In any case it's just a suggestion not actual issue, a lot of people don't bother to do it and there is no problem :D . Another piece of advice, when you try out things pay attention to Detail Stats screen, there is some useful info there that will help you understand better how different things impact your car as a whole.

Re: Star Corp. Motors

Today I'm showcasing another earlish model, 202 SL from 1967.

This model started out as a cheap 2-door estate in 1955 by the name of 201(I might upload that some day aswell), but got a major overhaul in 1966 when it was built up from scratch using the same body. 1966s Star 202 C model continued filling the basic need for a small and cheap estate but the next year came the more refined 202 SL. SL model changed the inline 4 engine for a V8, added a little bit of trim and, ofcourse, more comfort at the expense of fuel economy and price.

For reply I did try cropping but it just was not efficient enough and the detail screen revealed to me the exact things I was aiming for, so maybe I'm reading it wrong :D As for the too powerful early small engines... I just naturally try to get the maximum HP out of an engine, cant help it :D

On another note, I have not been uploading any actual engine pics/stats, so let me know if you would like to see them aswell :D
