I think the most restictive restriction (lol wtf?) was the wheelbase. (I believe) Everyone used the same body with minor cosmetic differences, so it looks rather bland going over the competitors. It would have been nice to see a little variation in the car designs. I suppose, however, it made it similar to an IROC challenge.

Except I really suck at making engines. Especially race engines. ;)

Seriously though, I tried to make a 4.0L but could not get anywhere near 750hp....without going twin turbo.

Now to await next season so i may enter and win lol

Congrats, Oppositelock! Lothoren, not if I can help it!

Edit: Didn't realize you were talking about a different series, I'm dumb.

The closest I've personally done myself is a 3.7 that produced 620-ish horsepower. But you're not gonna get 750 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 4000cc engine, not unless you somehow get access to Formula 1 technology and rocket fuel. :)

Re: International Racing Championship

Even though we didn't win, I enjoyed this series of races a lot more than some of the others. I also cannot believe that I was in first for some time. This is going on my wall of accomplishments. I hope you do something like this in the future. I would like to enter something just like this again.

Re: International Racing Championship

For next time, you need to make some of the rules less restrictive such as the wheelbase and MINIMUM horsepower.
But anyway, back to the drawing board for me. Gonna experiment for the best handling I can get.

I have already consulted Tiranth and can tell you the minimum horsepower, cooling regs, and potentially wheelbase rules have been "Dealt with"

Yup, these points are gone.

The next season rules will allow the use of every car body, bigger displacements and more power, but it will still be track oriented.
Also you will be allowed to pm me changes on the suspension and gearbox in between the races if you were able to improve your car.
The complete details and rules will be updated on the 1st next month, so stay tuned.

Also i´m currently setting up a drag racing challenge with different classes. It will be up in 2-3 days. Just download the track and the rules and have fun.

I didn't even notice the new event was up. I browse by active topics, so if there's no new post or new thread then it won't show up. Hopefully I can crank something out in time.

I'm in, though to be fair, I'm probably going to be low in the standings, at best. I opted for a lighter, smaller, naturally aspirated engine, at the penalty of a low output (Although, it's still much more powerful than the engines of last season.)

Re: International Racing Championship ( October season )

I think you've somehow made the thread private or some other kind of dark magic, I can't see it anywhere on the new threads (which I always go by) so I haven't even had time to enter, perhaps you should extend the deadline if you've not already started.

Edit: Apparently I'm stupid. I had no idea there was a "Community Challenges & Competitions" forum, I wondered why I couldn't see it in the car design sharing forum...
