I suspect that the tycoon portion of the game is going to be the hardest for me to wrap my head around if it is anything like these challenges.

If you want to feel cheated, feel free to do so. Price is more important now (as many people wanted last time) and this made the cheaper cars more attractive. Please consider that they are less than half of your price. People can buy a different engine or tune the shit out of the car for the difference. In addition to that, sportiness is not the only factor which counts.
