Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #2 [WAIT FOR RESULTS]

I can already see I'm overpriced compared to 2 very direct competitors. Bit of a shame considering I had lots of room to lower the price, oh well I guess I was just too greedy.

EDIT:
Umm.. what's up with Bonhin break even/max produciton?

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #2 [WAIT FOR RESULTS]

The budget car market is saturated. So many budget cars. Considering the market I am aiming for I could have probably charged more for my car.

He either set the price or the factory size wrong. I remember someone doing that in the last competition too

Yeah that was me I flipped the numbers in my head. Too bad he priced so low it looks like it would have been a strong contender in the $75-80k range.

So, how did you settled your selling price? Beside of multiplying production cost per "x"?

I've searched the average car price in 65, and the average salary in 65... lol

I based mine on 2012 values since the current build of automation has no idea about inflation.

I'll be able to hit a million sales this time? Znopresk Z847 seems reasonably strong for the mass motoring market. We will see...

To me this field looks like there will be more people who make losses overall, there's a lot of competition in the compacts indeed!

I aimed my car more for the mid $, mid $$, and family markets. Looking at it now I could have boosted the Prestige a little and charged a couple thousand more and I would have been better off. I think I have the safest car that is under $25,000.

I've actually build an offroad car, with compact segment being more of a secondary one...

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #2 [WAIT FOR RESULTS]

I learnt from my mistake last time and entered a cheap sports car. Looks like I made the right decision since I have the sportiest car on the market and it costs way less than the competition.

Also, while I remember, I found a minor loophole in the calculations. Anyone with a naturally aspirated car could set their aspiration quality to -15 to save some research costs without being penalised for anything. I didn't work out how much you save, but I figure every little helps

You can save less than 1 million dollars. Peanuts. :)

You pretty much annihilated me. I almost fainted when I saw your car. Twice, one for beating me on numbers and other for how ugly it was.
