Venom Motors

Venom Motors - Automotive Innovation since 1936
Founded in 1936 (as "Venom Automobile") by Maximilian Reed and John K. Kharum, Venom Motors has continued to innovate in the automotive industry through the present day. After releasing their first model, the Type-1 Sedan, in 1940, Venom has released over seventy different models in over 130 countries. Wow!

Released in late 1940, the Type-1 Sedan was one of the most advanced cars of its time. Featuring an innovative dual-carburetor design and a radical open-front, the Type-1 was immensely successful.
Originally penned as an "affordable luxury" marque, Venom made its name selling mid-high end sedans and coupes that offered top-of-the-line comfort, stability, and sportiness and an affordable price.
Upon the death of found John K. Kharum in July of 1954, Maximilian Reed's son Oliver Reed took ownership of the company and moved it in an entirely new direction (including actually refounding the company as Venom Motors, shedding the old name "Venom Automobile"). From the 50s all the way through the 90s, Venom focused on pushing the boundaries of what a car could do, whether that meant numbers on a spec sheet or lap times on the track. Flagship models like the 600HP Venom Pyrite of the 60s, 700HP Venom Pyrite II of the late 70s, and the "pocket rocket" MR Venom Spectre of the 90s continued to push the limits of commercial automobiles.
When Maximilian's grandson Justinian Reed inherited the company in 1999, Venom was reinvented again as a top-line marque specializing in extreme performance. From the flagship Venom Blueshift pushing a top speed of over 270 miles per hour to the smaller Venom Streak boasting an almost unrivaled 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds, Venom continues to break automobile records time and time again, and certainly isn't going to stop any time soon.
