Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #2 [BUILD]

This is my first car tycoon challenge. I want to get in, but never done anything like this. Is there anyway to start or join a company on the forums too. Do I build the car on the forums first or in Automation?

You can start your own company on the forums, in your mind, on a piece of paper, or anywhere you'd like to. You can also list your company here if you'd like, but that is entirely up to you.

Build the car in Automation and then send it to Der Bayer by following the instructions in the original post to enter the challenge. Make sure to read the rules/restrictions very carefully. For this challenge, the only rule is build a car in the year 1965. Other challenges will have different rules. To get ideas about how the challenge will progress, you can also check out this thread: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #1 [RESULTS], which was the first challenge in this series.

I am going to submit ONE of these. But I haven't decided yet. Waiting till the deadline to see how many participants.
I'll even disclose some specs for you.

I really like the front design of the 404 and the Indianapolis. Good job.

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #2 [BUILD]

I'm going to be working on my design today, but I'm having an issue with the calculation spreadsheet for the contest. I work on a SMALL computer (11" notebook) so the vertical scrollbar on the spreadsheet isn't visible in this thread (I can't navigate up and down), and if I click the google docs link that Der Bayer posted, I get an error EVERY time I flip between the calculator and template spreadsheet, and it crashes and reloads. If a workaround can't be found, this will make it impossible for me to use the calculator spreadsheet. :(

Yeah, that fixed it. Doesn't work right in IE. Works fine in Chrome, which I hate using because it's so God awfully slow (yes, I know it's normally the other way around... but not on my computer).
