Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship

69.1 is OK for average reliability isn't it? (I know it says over 69, but I want to make absolutely sure you didn't actually mean 70)

Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship

My 3500lb lump has been submitted. I fear I have gone for parts that are too expensive and therefore been compromised on engine capacity, but we'll see

5.7l crossplane v8 Pushrod
3366lbs
395 hp @ 6400rpm
333 lb/ft @ 6000 rpm

0-100km/h 5.1s
13.02s quarter mile
77.4 reliability
4 doors.

I'd sell that thing round 30-35k$

We think alike.

Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship

I didn't see anything saying we couldn't post it, so.....

M40R, 4.0L OHV DI Flatplane in a mid-engine car boasting 28.6m 100-0 km/h, 12.3s 1/4 mile, 4.0s 0-100 km/h, and 2.5s 80-120km/h. :)

I know it won't be all that competitive, but it's fun! I had it at 1150kg (2500 lb), but it rolled in at $12,200! :)

Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship

There's an MR2-ish body, but in 2014 it takes a serious safety penalty. :( Plus, this will appeal to the mid-life crisis gents and jocks with college paper. ;)

Re: CRCC: Cheap Racing Car Championship

You know what it was like when you were in school and the teacher asked the class to come up with the answer to a question, and then everyone gives similar answers that are miles away from yours........ yeah :(

Ah well, maybe I've found something different thats actually quite good
