Your fictional cars show

Thsi thread was made to make your ideas for a car/truck/bus. Get your ideas :P

My one:

Zsolticorp Wanderer 1955-1957
Picture below

It is a unique car among the others, having an 8 litre V8[same class cars had a 6 litre V8], unusual double lights, and the unique rear lights. It was the most popular car in its era.

Specs:
Engine: 7995 cc V8
Power: 395 HP
High torque
Chassis:High-quality ladder frame
Bodywork:Designed by Zsolticorp and Wanderer
Weight: 2240 kg [hardtop coupé]
Passengers: 4

Re: Your fictional cars show

yay for bumping old threads!

ANYWAY

The first halo car of serothis motor corp (name needs work, I know) would be a mx-5 body (coupe version anyway), 1.8l v6 w/ 7k+ redline N/A. The preformance package version would have turbo. Not sure how much power I could actually get out of either version but the goal would be 230+ hp (base) and 300+ hp (turbo).

It would probably cost an arm and a leg....and your left kidney.

Re: Your fictional cars show

230hp from a 1.8L that's aiming high. A bit high than the S2000 in fact and that with a scientifically lower redline. Not saying it isn't possible, in fact judging from the I4s it is but not much higher with out higher revs.

Re: Your fictional cars show

Ah yeah, I didn't see the 1.8L bit, would probably need to be more like 3L

Re: Your fictional cars show

I was thinking along the lines of a modern interpretation of the k8 engine. Far fetched and I would have to sacrifice fuel economy to acheive it but it's a miata so it has to say small and light

230 number is a goal not an absolute

Re: Your fictional cars show

Actually, if you could run it to 7800rpm or so, my half arsed calculations say it could work, maybe with a bit of near future tech :)

Re: Your fictional cars show

Hmm so a larger displacement while I wait for the wankel. Although the novelty of a small displacement v6 is very tempting

ive seen LS7's and the like put into a MX-5 - a little overkill - but a KL-ZE would be awesome while keeping it in the family :D

Re: Your fictional cars show

I think I would want a 3 rotor monstrosity over the ls7. Still epic though.

But then again there's still a problem of a lack of time, money, equipment and skill.

And it doesn't help when I find pretty examples like this

Re: Your fictional cars show

well if time, money, equipment, and skill weren't an issue, I'd be currently driving around with a triple rotor in my MR2 ;)
