If that body wins more than 2 categories the game needs balancing.

It's not the body it's the build, you could turn that into a power wagon or a rock crawler or a grocery getter or even a luxury barge. it's about what you put in it, not about the looks.

Not true. The body changes alot of values. Utility, safety, weight, etc... But especially utility which is very important for lots of classes.

Here is my CTC entry. Tame on the outside, rather wild on the inside!

I already sent file to Bayer but considering stats are identical here is de-modernised front of my entry:

Can it pass for 1988?

If this baby can pass for 1978, then sure, yours can pass for 1988.

Why don't you just wait for the results before complaining. Btw, I can already tell three categories, where that body could sell well in reality: Transport, Family and for example Midsize $$. Maybe even Compact $$, as it is a pretty small car. And if there are 80% estate cars submitted, it is very likely that it will sell well in many categories.

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #1 [BUILD]

I honestly done see why that body couldn't win in a big number of categories with the right engine and equipment. There are plenty of very high end estate cars in real life which could be emulated with this body. One of my potential entries is using that body as well, but there are a couple of other kinds of car to try before submitting that one.

Thats not my point. My point is the estate winning because the body gives more utility than the 5 door version even though the 5 door should be better for a compact car.
Obviously if the station wagons submitted are better than a true compact they should win. But it should be easier to win with a true compact then with an estate.

Also the transport category main factor is utility instead of load capacity. Doesn't make sense because transport should be a 2 seat for more cargo space. Not a 5 seater compact because it has more utility.

But when the results come out I should complain more. Actually I was going to submit the estate body. But since everyone is using it I'm building something for a cat with less competition.

What does not make sense to me is that you are for some reason not counting cargo space as the part of utility. There is a reason utility is not that much of a factor in compact class - while it is nice to have some cargo space and load capacity, cheaper bodies (and having a small body, as in not a longer estate, but a shorter hatchback, definitely helps) are the way to go. This is also the reason why main factor for transport is utility and why a station wagon would have more of it.
