Re: Performance Motor Production

This puts a boot up my rear end! Here I was planning to take my time exploring the capabilities of the cars, but if this is what's coming out already, I simply cannot delay!

The Begining
The Shield. PMP, 4 wheels, 4 gears, 1 steering wheel.

The first company car. A V8 car for people of the exquisite taste. A Grand Tourer for those trips to Monte Carlo.

Re: Performance Motor Production

I have to admit, you're damn good at making cars.
(Although imo the taillights for the 5000GT? Or whatever it's called look a little too modern.)

Totally agree. It would been much better if the vents were chromed. But the chromed vents never angle right.

Ten years later, europe was refining their sports cars. Straight Six was the buzzword and our V8 was not drawing looks anymore in Monte Carlo. We needed a new shell with better handling and a more responsive engine. So a new monocoque shell was created and the Engine went from a 5.0L V8 to a 4.0L straight six, triple Webber carburettors, high quality dual camshafts. What was bacically a racing engine detuned to be quieter and have a better mid end.
This car was all about keeping up with the competition and the design proves just that. Taking design queues proven designs such as mercedes gullwing, bmw 402 and Maserati 3500GT.

As soon as we hit the market we came to the conclusion that our new GT was now too European and that the trend in the US was still to have big V8s. We needed a new car and a more American brand identity to breach into the American market. New 7.0L pushrod V8 with 400 HP.

WOW!!! Great skills there. I specially like the 4000GT, its very elegant yet sporty, very smart use of fixtures.

Thank you. But I have taken lots of inspiration from some other players.
The lamps inside the vents were inspired by NyanCatx3: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3336 and by TheTom that made a 2020hp supercar that I felt I needed to surpass, he also does lights inside vents alot: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=4195
They both have alot more patience than I do.

I like realistic cars with a sleek design. The use of vent in headlights is a good way to get more cooling without ruining the body design.

Our market studies showed that Americans associate hood pins with performance so we placed hood pins on our car for the American market.

Re: Performance Motor Production

Your cars are very well designed, congratulations!

All of them look great and they have a unusual great feature, such as the bonnet scoop in your latest car. For me, you are one of the best Automation designers.
