"Clad" Aerodynamics?

Since there isn't any helpful tool tips in-game for aerodynamics yet, I don't have a full grasp on what it means to have a "fully clad" under-body. Obviously I know their effects, but since there's no visual model for it, it's not immediately obvious to me what its actual applications are, or what it actually does to improve my cars performance in some way.

Like THIS Image

Nicely covers up all the rough bits of car underside and makes for less drag.
