Re: The "guess-what-car" game

That was very quick from you, Jak

As for the car, it looks like every single 50s American car, however the Hudson Hornet name just popped into my head for some reason.

Do I have to list every single goddamn 1953-1954 Packard in the range?

I'm not sure if that's cheating, but you're the one making the rules. It is a Packard Patrician.

Re: The "guess-what-car" game

Do please elaborate how it could be cheating. If so, indeed I can change the rule.

Now let's talk about the actual rule that I have already made.

The 4th one. Pics should actually contain some guessable clue. If guesser has to pull the paint code and find the match, they probably are quite bad, this rule isn't meant to be taken literally, or in this case, ignored altogether. It's alright if you require the specific model to be the correct answer, that's fine, even I have done it before. But the picture have to contain SOME guessable clue, at least one, preferably more. The specific colour for a special edition that hasn't been edited is actually guessable, so that does count. But the cropped picture of a grille that could be from any one of the 26th and 27th Series Packard is NOT guessable clue for a specific model.

In this very case, if you want just the year range, you should have state that clearly in the first place. Because the universal rule of "Guess-what-car" or "Guess-that-car" game is that the typical required answer is Make and Model. If only the make is okay it'll have been called "Guess-what-brand" game, not "Guess-what-car" game. Oh what the hell, I'll add it as another rule, why not.

I'm sorry that I have to be a bit bossy, but if I don't, it'll become a mess in absolutely no time at all.

Re: The "guess-what-car" game

No, my comment was not actually accusing you of cheating, just me coming to a realization of how utterly indistinguishable the grilles are on those Packards. I did not car about someone guessing a year, what led to you thinking that?

Re: The "guess-what-car" game

My sentence could be taken as either way, you accused me of cheating or you accused yourself of cheating. Either way, it's not cheating. And the rules can always be change, as I made all of them. Mwahahahaha. Yes, if you see any of the rules to be unfair or completely nonsensical. You can always point it out. It's good this sorta thing happens, give me more reason to write more rules, I totally enjoy it. (Hint: Not).

Enough with all these rules nonsense. I'll give you another chance, Jakgoe. :) Or if you don't want it, hell, give it to someone else.

Here is the next car, sorry about the hideous gray lines I added, but there were reflexes of other cars in the showroom that gave away the brand very easily.
