Re: Build B1362+ Bugposting Thread

Kev that sounds like an issue I ran into last night:

If I create a new Platform and save it without picking a body shell, it will successfully save it and then immediately crash. All further attempts to restart the game will crash until you manually delete the .lua file for that platform.

Well, a quick way to get around that is to pick a bodyshell. :P
(Until it's fixed)

EDIT: Whoops, momentarily forgot this isn't a support thread.

Re: Build B1362+ Bugposting Thread

1) I noticed that all my engines have been messed up they now went from 87.3 to 92 octane
2) The cars fit way smaller engines than on the last update.
3) I made a crappy honda fit like car and it costs me $16000 to build, dealers usually make 50 percent in the US off of cars, so that makes my selling price to the dealer $22000, and theirs $42000????? I'm using crappy parts and low quality. I think I'm going bankrupt

If it's costing you 16000 to make a fit clone head back to the drawing board and consider your material choices.

Re: Build B1362+ Bugposting Thread

Considering how often it happens to me it most likely was already reported. Sometimes when I open my cars and click start (ofc without changing anything) I'm getting clearly wrong values, upon closer inspection I determined that cooling airflow slider is responsible. It doesn't happen every time so I'm guessing files save properly. Just this one value sometimes loads incorrectly. One peculiarity I noticed though is that when I simply just add and subtract (meaning I'm setting it exactly the same as it loaded) and then test I'm still getting different stats than on first test.

I convinced a friend to try out the Automation demo, engine designer worked fine, but model designer gets this, running on lowest settings, not sure if it's his graphics card or automation derping on lowest.

Run the game on highest settings, it doesn't take a high end computer to do that. I don't lag at all and my PC is a few years old.

1440 x 900 resolution on windowed mode is not really 1440 x 900. some pixels are off, would rather run it in fullscreen, but it has so many bugs I can't tab out or the game crashes.

Please post any bugs you find in this thread.

Cheers!

Fullscreen is very buggy, Built the Koiensegg Aegra R replica and the game crashes once I finish building and then all is lost.

Where are my saves? I lost 100 engines and many cars. I want them back.

1440 x 900 windowed mode is inaccurate and needs to be fixed.

Re: Build B1362+ Bugposting Thread

If you are using an open beta build other than 1410, you might be having trouble with aspect ratio. If you haven't already, try updating to that version.

You should not lose your engines in this update, but losing your cars is an unfortunate side-effect of the progression of the car designer. The older versions are just not compatible with the latest update.

However, certain things have been updated (VVL, fuel system, various qualities), and the engines WILL be messed up, most likely will be knocking if you update. Also, you will have to go into each one and click save.
