Only one manufacturer had multiple guesses, and I'm looking up all of its sportscars with pop-up headlights, and I still have no clue

Alright, I'm not gonna give too much away but I don't want it to hang about for too long til people get bored. It isn't an AE86, and who said anything about it being a sports model?

Its a Toyota Tercel, also known as a Corolla II or Sprinter Carib (your hint being "Toyota" and "Sprinter" from Trueno Sprinter)

I'll give it to Wizzy, because from the picture I used it could be the Corolla II Turbo. The normal Corolla II had a different front. It's actually a different model, albeit almost identical, called the Toyota Corsa. As I say, tiny differences, but does this not have the coolest 80s wheels?
