Car Designer Scenario Discussion

What has been your experience with the new car designer scenarios and the more linear scoring system?
How do they play, how does the whole process of making a car feel with the new UI flow?
Feedback is very much appreciated!

Cheers!

Re: Car Designer Scenario Discussion

  • More linear scoring system effectively counterbalances any extreme measures, so attempting to go to any extremes tends to hurt rather than harm. Balanced approaches that maximise all of the margins from the soft criteria in a relatively equal manner seem to score best. I do wonder whether this narrows the approaches down, but at least I know from the testing sheet that gold level solutions can be attained with multiple approaches, so not complaining there!
  • I do remember that the completed UI would allow for the platform to be saved before moving onto the engine designer. If this is done, then the flow is very effective and makes the quick design of a car a lot easier, particularly as one can go back and modify whatever components one pleases (except the year, but that's already being dealt with :P ). What's the plan for the Factory tab?

Seems nice so far, but I've noticed that once you succeed the scenario, and then pass a limit, it still counts as succeed
Also, the economy has the wrong unit in the Gentlemen's disagreement scenario

If you're wondering about the "X" button, "make better" And "other scenarios" I cropped them out when making the screenshot.
