Yes, he means something similar to that, except for vents and other fixtures. I don't recollect the devs having talked about this.

Auto magazine plus directories - list your car in the appropriate directory to be considered for a magazine cover/article.

Re: Non-symmetrical body parts.
So besides adding the X2/X1 option like exhausts on vents, or door handles, there is an option to select 'Center' or 'Symmetry' to choose whether you want your part to center-align like grills do, or act like vents/lights do right now? We could have icons like this:

Align to center

Make symmetrical
Wouldnt be too hard to program, plus gives us tons of more options. Should be on top of the priority list, but maybe a nice thing to add later on.

I really would like this feature available to all fixtures, it would allow far more flexibility to the car designer (asymetrical air intakes, asymetrical badges, central lights, double spoilers, etc...)
Can this be considered before the car designed goes on definitive lockdown ?

Not very easy to do, you'd need an entirely different version of each fixture to do it, remember that the whole thing is built on one half of the car and mirrored, the reason grilles work is that they are modeled in one half and designed to always meet in the middle of the car. You could only do it with fixtures that are symetrical left to right, and you'd need to maintain a seperate copy of each fixture for the centre version.

And what are the chances to be able to put a 3rd braking light, or a center headlight later on?
