Merrick Automotive, Again

So i'm restarting Merrick again, because I feel like it.

1940:
The first car Merrick made was the V8, thats its name. It also has a V8 engine if you couldn't tell. It was meant to compete with the Ford Deluxe but it had twice the power of the Ford Deluxe. It had 152 hp power from a 4.0 liter V8 in 1940, thats not too bad for that time period. The V8 went 0-60 in a "amazing" 10 seconds. That 224 torque certainly helped. The base price was the only price: 800 dollars. By no means was this a luxury car.

Re: Merrick Automotive, Again

Now we skip a few years because the U.S.A government forced Merricks only factory to produce Airplanes for the war. So they did not produce cars up until 1948 when they had done some work on there new car.
1948:
The RTT was there new car. It was a sporty little coupe, that was also cheap. It had a big V8 upfront, rear wheel drive, this car had no natural competitors in 1948. Its 5.7 Liter V8 made 260 hp and 350 torque. 0-60 in 7.20 Seconds, It was the first real muscle car. But there was also the crappy I6 that was the base model with a 3.1 OHV I6. It produced a wheezing 145 horsepower with 211 torques. 0-60 in about 11 Seconds.

Re: Merrick Automotive, Again

Like the RTT quite a bit, but my only critique would be the vents under the tail lights. I'd try a turn signal or a reverse light instead, but that's just me.
I've included a pic to demonstrate.

Re: Merrick Automotive, Again

Yeah I had put that on there and it didn't seem to fit the time period, but I just personally like the way it looks

Re: Merrick Automotive, Again

Were going to skip a few years because there are not really any models to fill in a few gaps.
1969:
The top of the line sports sedan was the RST. The best model was the SSX with A massive 7.6 Liter OHC V8. It made a massive 504 hp and 538 torque. It was also made of handmade aluminum. It was all wheel drive and went 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. It was the fastest road car in the world at that time. Then we had the SS with a 5.7 Liter OHV V8. Putting out numbers of: 351 hp and 398 tq. This was rear wheel drive and went 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. Then we had the "little" S model. With a small 5.1 Liter OHV V8 with 242 hp 284 tq. It went 0-60 in 7.4 Seconds, not bad. You could put some HOOSIERS ON IT FOR A TRACK DAY, BRO.

I think it would be the fastest car, bar none, in the world at that time.

174 mph, your car beats it by quite a bit.

Re: Merrick Automotive, Again

I could have let the top speed go up to 191 but that would have effected acceleration
