But throwing it together in 20 minutes is what essence of car building is about. You see, both of my cars were thrown together in 10 or 15 minutes, the BRC1100 one's position isn't the worst one, and Super 1000... Well I guess I'll own you all in result/effort ratio.

Had I not messed up thr platform year and caused pleb to scramble for a last second fix I'd put us another 10 places up.

Don't worry, we're doing well, and we will do better on the slower stages thanks to our cornering! (Not to brag or anything :P)

Top 10 in BRC 1100, and mid-pack in Super 1000... not bad. Considering the amount of time I spent on the 1100 car, I'm happy with that, and as for the Super 1000? Yeah, there's a reason it's the R1-N (Revision 1 - NA engine). It did get some help from the fact that all the suspension is the same as the 1100 car.

Mid-pack on Super 1000 and somewhat worse on BRC 1100.
Not bad for two cars with unoptimized engines (should've fiddled with the quality sliders) and stock suspensions (only thing changed was the ride height).

Just downloaded the engine manual, and looks like it'll be very, very useful for later competitions.

17th in Super 1000, pretty happy, probably going to go down in the slower stages though

My sandero is legendary, position 59 out of 62 in super 1000, and my logan 45 out of 80, the last one is pretty good i think.

Thanks for the props, the Volvo's result is surprising for the brick it is. Unfortunately higher speed was it's party trick and it is near undrivable on slower sections even with the sloppy suspension I put on it.

Volvos are underated imo and can always be found doing well in motorsports, one even won our Bathurst race back in the early 90's so I hope my car is a worthy tribute.

Ps. Really stoked how well my super 1000 Rx7 did... I really focused on getting the looks right and making sure it revved well over 10,000 rpm more than how it actually performed... it will most likely be spanked on slower course however. :?

68 of 80, not too surprised, I learned quite a bit which will allow me to do better next time. I did try to tune more for the rougher tracks so we will see if I fair better there.

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [STAGE 1 RESULT

The second stage should really set the pace for this challenge, as no one would have been able to tune their car for it. So this first stage is nothing more then seeing what other people made.

I have made us a topic for discussing our BRC machines, as to prevent further flooding of Der Bayer's challenge topic. :P

Check out the cards, our top speeds and our 0-100 times compared to everybody else, then tell us if you think we tuned it for speed hehehe. That said I don't know what's going to happen next!

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [STAGE 1 RESULT

Definitely fun to check out the results of the first stage.

Thanks to DerBayer and everyone involved in the Rallye, helpers as well as participants. I feel this Rallye has given this Forum a huge boost in activity. Also words can hardly describethe excitement to check for new results each day. :D

Here also an official statement from the CEO of SimMotors/SimTech Racing:

Everyone at SimTech Racing is very excited to see the Hercules 1000 doing so well during the first stage of the Bavarian Rallye Challenge. (nervous whispering begins)
*microphone nearby catches the follwing muttered words* We.. oh.. what? Not even in the first half? Engine too weak?! Osamu personally said he took care of it.. That's it, he's done.

*clearing throat* We are looking forward to the next stages of the Rallye and would like to announce that for the next Rallye Challenge, we will have another engine designer. Thank you for your attention and race on!
