At this point we're gonna have a tiered competition: the min-maxers, the solid but not optimal and the "please don't get last" crowd.

the second tier is the best ofc, because when multiplayer tycoon mode comes out, no one will pause for any optimisations. I built both of my cars quick, expecting a decent place in Super 1000, and perhaps not so decent, but still above the last tier sort of place in BRC 1100

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

Last night I was developing 2 engines, a BRC 1100 Engine with 473.3 hp and a Super 1000 engine that needs to be fixed (127cv)

EDIT: Only one question, the capacity of the engine can be 1800 cc or it must be 1799 or lower?

It can be 1800, but be very careful if you make your engine 1800, because when I set the engine I wanted to enter to 1800, reloading it would bump the size up to 1801, which would have got me disqualified. If it reloads as a 1800cc engine then it is fine.

I believe this was fixed in the most recent patch.

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

It still can happen, but I'm aware of the issue.

A quick update on how scrutineering and testing is going: Today I lost all testing progress of 90 cars because of a corrupted file caused by a bluescreen during saving. :( I have to test all of the cars again, so testing the most recent entries will happen during the weekend. The "top trump cards" will very probably not happen because of that. It's all becoming too much to handle in a reasonable amount of time, sorry.

Sorry to hear that. the testing process must get incredibly monotonous with 90 cars, so losing the data must have hit your enthusiasm for this competition pretty hard. Its a shame that you wont be able to do the top trumps cards because I really liked them in the last competition, but its completely understandable why you wont be doing them. Would it be worth asking someone else (with more artistic ability than me) to make them instead?

It's less about artistic skill. The template already exists, it's just about filling in data and getting in the pics. Maybe we can make it happen if there are some people who are willing to help. Just Inkscape is needed and that's free.
