Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

I hate myself for sending in my submission too fast, for the BRC 1100 I submitted an inline 6, realizing i also could use a V8 (among other things), and now it makes more hp than the submitted one...
Bah, anyways, like my dad says: ''The best teatcher is failure!''

Sucks, right. I bet he thought there was a limit on the brake pad type like you, and didn't think to change the quality.

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

I entered only the BRC 1100, because it's my first try for a competition so far and I have no experience in building cars for more reasons as my own fun. So my only goal is to don't get last. :D

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

I also had little knowledge of engines when I entered the Shakedown BRC, and still I expected to finish somewhere in the middle of the pack. But I was rock bottom for every single stage. I guess it was my fault for thinking too highly of my frankly amateur efforts.. :P

But I know a little more now and hopefully me and my team have a good chance! :D

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

To clarify, Der Bayer, do I just need to prefix my engine, platform, and model with (*class here*) and (CNSpots1)?

I had been hesitating to join this time around due to the more complicated submission form.

Re: Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [OPEN]

I think you need to name your files (Class) - (Username or Team Name) then you can put anything after that, it's just so when Der Bayer goes to lap all the cars, everything is in alphabetical order and it makes things easier. :)

I sent in my thrown-together competitor. I didn't add a picture because my computer has about as much processing power as a slab of butter.

Once you get Brembos in your life its hard to go back to stock brakes.

Edit: top of the page again :)

Junny I'll be keen to see how your effort goes mate, I was very impressed with the lack of tameness of the turbo brick in the inaugral round. If they had a 740 era square wagon body model I'd be all over it, instead I remade the Starion for this comp. :P

Well you can all stop worrying if my car passes inspection ill have the bottom of the field covered :-)

Had no idea about all the wings adding "stuff"< technical term there. So mine has one and am not even sure if its doing anything haha

The heart of any car is the engine, well my car is on the brink of a Cardiac arrest with a warning about bottom end parts every time you run it.... ahh listen to the rattle

Looks like I will have a challenger for last place. I threw my car together and I am not expecting much.

Sounds to me like the Trees on the first corner now have a greatly reduced life expectancy
