Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

If you revised the engine after you saved the model and didn't reload the engine into the model, that will happen. Maybe that's the cause.

The engine is not linked to the model but saved in the model file after it is loaded into the model. So there can be an engine in the model which is not in the engine manager list. I only need the engine file to make sure the rules are obeyed. And in your case, I could not check the engine which is in the model.

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

Next time I will make a proper checklist for you participants. The checklist will guide you a bit more and will hopefully help to reduce the number of disqualifications. I know you put a lot of time into your cars and being disqualified really sucks. I know that no one of you wanted to cheat. But rules are rules and I have to keep it fair for those who play by the rules.

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

Since I didn't have enough time to try anything other than a V8 I thought I'd try my car with an I6 even though the competition has passed. turns out i can get almost 200bhp more out of an I6, giving me a 5s quicker car after adjusting a few things to compensate for the engine, and probably more if i changed the downforce too. ah well

when will you be releasing stage 2 and 3 for us to try cars on?

As soon as I show the results, that means you get stage 2 tomorrow and stage 3 the day after tomorrow.

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

very good setting BAYER,'m all in your opinion. A checklist can each do it yourself (I'll do the next time ^ ^). But it would be cool of you if you start off on time the next time the race until a day after. So that the people can see that something is wrong with their cars and can catch up with.

I know that's a lot of work, and so I offer you my help.

8th and 6th position isnt bad but If my cars had more cornering they would have performed better.

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

I don't think that communicating the problems with the player and solving them step by step is very effective. I was more thinking about a checklist the player can go through by himself/herself before sending the files. It should still be the player's responsibility to make a correct entry, not the host's. A tool for finding errors easier can be provided, everything else can be frustrating for both sides and the host has no overview anymore. My PM inbox grew by 82 PMs in the past 4 days. You really don't want more communication and more different versions of an entry when you run a challenge.

8th, not bad for a night and a 6 pack :) I don't foresee a stellar performance tomorrow in the high speed stage, but I am hoping for top 5 in the third. Bring on the hairpins!

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

Not sure if this has been answer as I only just saw it on FB, but can I enter both Group B and the 1600 Demo class with different cars?

If so, I'll enter in a couple of days, if late entries are allowed?
Haven't played for months so need to get up to speed!
