Does cooling affect the power of the engine, or just its MTBF?

Just MTBF, but only up to the point where you have enough for the engine.

Oh good, for a moment I thought I was missing out on a power advantage by not giving my engine extra cooling.

I hope so ;), though your car has better acceleration and a higher top speed. May the best loser win (or come second to last :P)

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

I didn't expect such "noice" performance in the Demo 1600. Good performance for the humble Zap!.
In the Group B it was a pity that the Zeta didn't performed as well as expected. I hope in the more slow paced stages will gain a bit.

I think my N/A car did pretty well.
It would also be interesting to see whether turbo cars dominated their N/A counterparts.

Because the second version of your car still did not have the right engine file with it.

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

Nice, wasn't expecting anything close to 5th. This bodes well for the second stage

Also, its slightly awkward that we are all being beaten by Der Bayer who is carrying a 100kg more than the rest of us

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

What do you mean?

EDIT: I think my name to the engine may have caused a problem. I renamed the engine in and out of the .lua, but never resaved the car...

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

@ SamSheepDoq: I'm sorry for you then, but I told you that there is a problem and you had the chance to solve it.

@XYReis: Currently the best naturally aspirated car in Group B is pyrlix on P7, 10 seconds behind the leader. Turbos are a bit overpowered (at least on this stage). But that's why this challenge is only a test. The next, bigger challenge will probably be balanced out a little bit more.

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [Stage 1 Results]

That's fine. I took a look in the model .lua, and no, it's using the correct engine name. I'm very confused as to what the problem is if it's not the name.
