Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

When Pressing revise model between 2 different models it seems like the stats change everytime?

Would you be able to possible update common and recognised bugs on the OP just in case people repeat the same errors? i see there are a few there already.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

I have made allot of 4 inline engines and in many diferent sizes, trying to get the max out power from each... and i think i just found a bug... its the by pass valve on the exaust. every time i test my egine with bypass it crashes.

sory for my english.

I'll try to make a small movie of what happens to help the dev. understand my problem-

my video link: http://youtu.be/9x8EF07_1wQ

at the end you can see it just crashed.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

There are two things I had noticed this time around. I believe the first one has already been mentioned, but here it goes.
#1 The car body cannot be manipulated (err "redesigned" in any direction) It is this one --->

Unable to change anything on this car body

#2 I'm thinking this had been mentioned in one of the dev update videos, but the air intake is showing up going through the radiator. -->

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game in the default location but I keep getting the same message. I had the same problem with the last update as well so I just waited for the auto update and that worked.

Stupid Question: Do you have the actual Launcher of the game installed? The correct process is a) install launcher (download from user control panel) and then b) install base version (either B1323 or today the full installer for B1353) to then c) patch the game.

If by the launcher you mean this, then you I do have it installed. I tried another fresh install but it is still not working for me.

UPDATE I reinstalled windows as per my regular pc maintenance and got the update working.

Little UI error in Test Track option.

When you click in Track Stats it will show the times sheet (pic1), then...
If you click in Overview option it will go back to the showroom but the times sheet will be still displayed on screen (pics2).

I think this error happens when people mistakenly rename the 'Revision' of a platform, instead of 'Platform Name'. Typing a letter into the 'Revision' section will always result in this LUA error.

EDIT: Sorry, that was the wrong LUA error (I have posted a lot of stupid things today...) if anything, it might be caused by the 'dreaded I4 Turbo crash' (My name for it) but I could be wrong, knowing my stupidity today..

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

The game crashed while trying to adjust one of the small wings
also crashed with loading the test tracks when car geared to over 400kph
made gearing under 400kph now airfield track works.
automation test track won't run the car around, but shows negative values for times.
I can't do screen shots on my computer so I have attached the .lua files

I have the same problem with the patched version downloaded via torrent.
I unninstall and make a clean install (using launcher + torrent full version) and now it works fine.

And if i close the track test without stop, the noise of the car stand still.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Thanks a million for all the awesome works you guys putting up, devs!
I'm really enjoying the new update. :D

I found a following bug.
In test track run page, you can't hear turbo sounds like BOV, or turbine even if your car has a turbo charged engine.

thanks.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Not sure if it is a bug or if it's just on my end. I'm running windows xp 64bit sp2 I had no problems installing and running build 1323, however when I updated to 1353 through the patch my launcher no longer found the build number, it would read "Build : 0" at the top of the launcher and tell me it has found a new update (build 1323). I tried the full install of 1353 and got the same reaction, uninstalled both game and launcher, tried reinstalling, 1323 worked but same build 0 problem on patching, uninstalled and did a 1353 install, same build 0 problem, whats my next step here?

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

To install it you need to patch it manually, because the launcher itself doesn't know there is a 1353 out yes. So a clean install would be (after uninstalling and deleting cleaning up everything) 1) install the launcher, 2) quit the launcher, 3) use the full B1353 installer, 4) then open up the launcher and it should show the correct version. If that is what you are doing then I have no idea what's wrong :(
