I'll add you as soon as I got your files and tested the cars. So you can double-check if I forgot you. :)

Re: BRC: Bavarian Rallye Challenges [BUILD]

To continue with the car naming problems discussion, if you do put penalties in for people not naming the platform correctly it would be good if you could remind everyone that you cant rename a platform after you have created a model for it, as I found out last night.

Actually, I believe there is a way to work around that. You just have to change the name within the .lua file.

Yes, I remember reading your thread. But having been programming at Uni until around 8 in the evening and then finally getting the car ready at well past midnight, messing with the lua files is the last thing i wanted to do.

Well, I might change from Group B to 1600 so as to keep within what I think my company would be able to actually compete in by '84. I should be able to make something by Sunday, I think!

I'm hoping I didn't do things the wrong way, Der Bayer. If I did it was unintentional.

After taking a look at the competition I think I may be a bit down on power.

That may not be a bad thing. If you have used a naturally aspirated car, or a car with a small turbo then, while your peak power will be a lot lower, your power band will be a lot flatter than someone who stuck a huge turbo onto their engine and got a million horsepower, especially considering that we are making cars in 1984. That will make the driveability a lot better and give you an advantage in the corners. Also, you will probably have better low end power as well, which will help get the car out of the corners.

One of the cars i made (although not the one i entered) had a very similar amount of power compared to the only other entry that i can find (jakjoe's 381bhp car) and, while i cant speak for his engine, my version had abysmal low end power and very peaky top end power.
