It is not a bad effort :) When I made a baseline, that is the score I got.

Just re-scored my entries, will this still be going on or are we waiting for the handling fix to be released?

I guess on Sunday I will release the winner. I will build a remake of a real life car for whoever wins.

Re: Lightweight High Performance Coupe/Roadster competition

So, not having anything better to do, I decided to give this one a shot. Here are my results:

Responsiveness will be graded from 40 (Each 1 above : +1) (Each 1 below : -3) +19.8 = +19.8 pts.
Ideal redline 7000, points taken off for below (Each 100 below : -3), no extra points for above 7000 RPM = 0 pts.
Acceleration 0-62 MPH (100 Km/h): 5.1 (Each .1 below : +3) (Each .1 above : -3) -.3s = +9pts.
Quarter mile time: 12.7 secs (Each .1 below :+ 3) (Each .1 above : -2) +1 = -2 pts
Quarter mile speed: 124 mph (200 Km/h) (Each 1 MPH/1.6 KMH above : +2) (Each 1 MPH/1.6 KMH below : -1) -6 = -6 pts.
Top speed: 165 mph (266 km/h ) (Each 1 MPH/1.6 KMH) above : +1) (Each 1 MPH/1.6 KMH below : -1) +5.8 = +5.8 pts.
Cornering g's: 1.00 (Each .01 above : +5) (Each .01 below: -4) +.19 = +95 pts.
Braking: 100 feet (Each 1 ft/.3 m below : +4) (Each 1 ft/.3 m above : -3) +1.92 = -5.76 pts.
Fuel efficiency: 29 MPG or 8.11 L/100 Km (Each 1 above : +3) (Each 1 below : -2) -6.1 = -12.2 pts.
Loudness: 45 (No points for under) (Each 1 above: -2) 38.1 = 0 pts.

Total = 103.64 pts.

Could probably do better if I didn't demand such a monster of an engine, lol.

Sorry karrde, I cannot accept that :( You are using the glitch where your car leans so far the game glitches and you get an unreasonably high g number

How do you know what is glitched and what isn't? This is the first I've heard of it.

Re: Lightweight High Performance Coupe/Roadster competition

A car rolling at 9 degrees would have something like 6 square inches of tyre on the ground. Your sidewalks don't give enough grip yo pull a 1.2 g corner.

Re: Lightweight High Performance Coupe/Roadster competition

Lol, I guess so. I didn't give roll much thought since it wasn't a graded parameter.

Alright, I am going to close this competition. Any one who needs to rescore or edit must do it now. My apologies for not scoring yet, but things got away from me with quarter exams and the like. Expect to see it soon.
