Bore/Stroke Ratio Lock

What dictated the need for a lock on the bore/stroke ratio? It'd be cool to play around with massive oversquaring/undersquaring to do things like F1 style engines or motorbike engines. Of course then we'd need some changes to our RPM limits, valve springs and other things, but I think there could be a lot of depth to be explored there.

To keep the calculations as accurate as possible is the short answer... the long answer can be found in the linked thread.

Re: Bore/Stroke Ratio Lock

There is a reason to this Ratio Lock - restricts totally stupid 50x120mm engines or other wacky unrealistic combinations. Sure there will be one or two normal consumer engines that wont be possible - but 98% are being able to built.

As the question is answered - this is closed.
