Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Today is my big day. The first time i've built a car that can go over 400kph without taking off. Ladies and gentlemen, i present you the Lion Hatchback. Pleb, you'll probably recognize those tail lights :D

Image

Image

All that power comes from a 5.5L twin-turbocharged Flatplane V8, and it makes 1337 hp. If you guys want, i can share the engine file with you :)

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

This is the Grizzly, a family saloon similar to a BMW 5series. Similar in terms of price and function. But not in terms of styling:

The Grizzly will be powered by different V8s, going up to 7.5L actually because the engine bay is big enough for it.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Hey guys, i managed to build a proper engine for this beast. And it's now actually no longer thought to be a competitor for 5series, it's going to compete with the Bentley Continental instead. That also means, it needs a very good interior which it's going to have as soon as we can adjust it. And that is the reason why this car will weigh just under 1600kg, making it the heaviest car that DQE currently produces (aside from the AdVance, which will be coming soon in its 3rd generation!).
But that's where the engine comes in:

Image

And that means it'll go from 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds despite RWD, and it will do 339kph top speed (210mph i believe).

Image

It also features a very quick and very smooth 8 speed double clutch gearbox.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Now that Smolensk has built a competitor for the Maserati Quattroporte and Porsche Panamera, DQE decided to follow that trend! This is the Tiger.

Image

Image

Image

Whereas the Smolensk uses a nice and high-revving 3.8L NA V8 with 450hp, the Tiger will get a 4.5L twin-turbocharged V8 with 550hp. And that makes for some pretty good numbers:

Image

With 313kph it's (as far as i know) the fastest car in its class, faster than the Quattroporte S and the Panamera Turbo S.

Jakgoe wrote:The engineers at Smolensk Tuning do not like being second best. Enter the Type CS, a high-performance version of the Type C. The Type CS is faster than the DQE Tiger, as well as being more fuel efficient. The 536 horsepower comes from a naturally aspirated 4.7L V8, and is carried to the wheels by a 7-speed double-clutch transmission. Eat our dust, DQE! :D

Alright. Now that Smolensk have released their high performance version of the Type C, it's time DQE follows up. And we do with this, the Tiger HP:

Image

Image

The Tiger HP now features AWD because we saw it as necessity for straight line performance and grip. However, the car is still lighter than the standard Tiger, thanks to the carbon fibre chassis and body as well as a lightweight 5.0 TT V8. It makes more power than before, too. 604hp is what you get from it, and the acceleration is mindblowing.

Image

I'm sure that this competition will go on, though :)

Challenge accepted :)
Here's the Tiger XX. Now it may not be quite as fuel efficient as the Type CR, i'll give it that. But who cares about fuel economy when you can do the quarter mile from a standstill in less than 10 seconds?

Image

This blistering performance comes from the same basic engine you find in the HP, but it has been retuned so it makes 750hp now. This enables it to go 337km/h (or 210 mph). Let's see how Smolensk is going to handle this :)

Alright. Now that the "war" is settled, i have time to show you the NEW Eagle coupe AND Eagle saloon!

The saloon first:

Alright, guys! Here's the Eagle HP!
First, the coupe

Image

And here's the saloon

Image

That power comes from a twin-turbocharged 6.2L V8. Obviously, they're fast. But they aren't just about performance, it's more about fun. And the suspension is not too stiff to use the cars on the road. And you get a button inside which turns the turboes off for better controllability around town. You'll still get 373hp if you do that, which is plenty for going round town. And remember, just push the button again and you get all the power in the world.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Here's the Wasp, the base of Smolensk's rallye car!

Image

Image

Image

This has a 1.6L I4T with 125hp, and that makes for an acceleration of 7.3 seconds from 0-60 while doing 63.4 mpg! This would be perfect for a 17-year-old's first car!

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

5th page of this thread already, what the...
Okay, DQE's engineers decided that it would be a good idea to make a limited production series of the Grizzly, which they call Grizzly XL. And yes, XL really means "Extra Large". The car will get a longer wheelbase, bigger wheels, wider tires, and last but not least: an even bigger engine :D This time, it's an 8.5L TT V8, and the torque it makes is out of this world. You get 1397Nm (1031lb-ft) at 2500RPM! You get 500+hp from 2600 RPM, 600+ from 3200 on and 700+ from 3800! The top is 800hp at 5700RPM, the redline is at 6000.

Image

This huge engine will help the (now even heavier and still RWD) car accelerate faster than many of today's sports cars (maybe not from 0-60 but that's because of wheelspin). And it'll do 349km/h which is just 1km/h slower than the Lamborghini Aventador. But it will use less fuel than the Lambo nevertheless.

Image

Of course, now that pretty much everything in and on the car will be bigger, your wallet size will have to increase too. Not sure by how much yet, but the engine will take additional man hours to make, and more material will have to be used to build the car. But then, only 250 of these will be made and the people who can afford a normal Grizzly can probably also afford the XL.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

This is the sister model of the Smolensk Type M, the DQE Kestrel:

Image

Image

Image

As you can see, the body has been reworked slightly. No big changes here. What has changed, however, is the engine. In the Type M it's a high-revving 5.3L V8 with 630hp, in the Kestrel it's a low-end 7.0L V8 with "only" 585hp. The reason for this is that the Kestrel is more of a cruiser. It'll make the right noise, it's gonna kick you in your seat with the massive 785Nm of torque and you can just do huge burnouts wherever you want. This is the kind of car that makes you say "F*** it! I got a 7 litre V8, what do you want?"

Image

For a cruiser, it's still pretty fast, though:

Image

This is the type of car that DQE stands for: something you can drive all day, every day. It looks nice, it makes the right noise, you can drive around normally or have fun whenever you please and the engine will never break.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Here's the Starling, a tiny carbon fibre sports coupe which will be about as small as the Smart Roadster. But unlike the Smart, this isn't all about fuel economy. With its 1.25L turbocharged I4 engine which makes 125hp, it's capable of accelerating from 0-60 in 6.2 seconds, while using only 4 litres of fuel every 100km!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Despite the carbon fibre chassis and weight, this wouldn't cost much more than the Smart, because there's basically no interior, other than a stereo and air conditioning. Do you think this car would sell?

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Ok, here's pretty much the exact opposite to the Starling. It's the next generation Dragonfly! :)
The basic engine in this will be a 2.0L naturally aspirated I4 with 250hp, but you can also have a 2.5L I6 with 330hp.

The new HP and SR versions will be posted in the Speed Academy thread.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Extravagance. Elegance. AdVance.
This is essentially a luxury family van with big V8s in it. So it's perfect for mummy and daddy. It'll make the children happy, too, with the nice V8 growl .

Image

Image

Image

There's a 5.0 and a 6.0 V8, the 6.0 makes 460hp and lets you go from 0-60 in just 4 seconds despite the car's 1600kg weight and the 5 speed manual gearbox. Obviously, this isn't the most economical car in the world, but it uses less fuel than most cars with similar power output (like a BMW M3 E92 or a Ferrari California).

I can't really think of a competitor for this car because Ford Galaxy/Renault Modus/Opel Zafira, etc. they aren't nearly as luxurious or as powerful as this will be. And there will be an XX version, too.
