Re: Smolensk Tuning

For Pleb and the Cottam Auto Group, here is the second tune of the Cottam Libre. It is the Libre RS (Rally Smolensk). It is a street legal rally car!:

Re: Smolensk Tuning

The next car to come out of Smolensk's underground laboratories is the Type S. Powered by a 3.8L V8, it develops 440 horsepower, and reaches 60 in 4.7 seconds. The car itself is designed to be a viable alternative to the C63/RS5/M4, at a cheaper cost. Being cheaper does not necessarily mean that it is any less of a car. Styled by TheTom, the Type S is undoubtedly the best looking sports coupe on the market. Unlike its German competitors, the top speed is unrestricted, and approaches 190mph. The fact that the Type S gets 26mpg is the icing on the cake. For a premium sports coupe experience, without the premium price, buy the $49,000 Smolensk Tuning Type S.

Re: Smolensk Tuning

The newest car by Smolensk Tuning is the Type C. It is a 450hp executive saloon that competes with the Quattroporte, Panemera, and the Jaguar XJ. Powered by a larger version of the V8 used in the Type S, the car is able to reach 60mph in 4.9 seconds. The top speed is 186 miles per hour. Unlike its competitors, the Type C gets 22mpg.

Re: Smolensk Tuning

Bit of an Aston Martin style look on the Type C?
Love those pointy headlights (reminds me of a certain car.. ;))
Just about to post my beefed-up version of the Cottam Didara (based on TheTom's engine! :)) The pics are taking forever to upload though.

Re: Smolensk Tuning

Haha, quite funny actually. Look at the car replica thread in the car design forum and see what I posted two days ago :P

Nice design Jakgoe! Like the engine a lot too!

Re: Smolensk Tuning

Sorry that it looks that similar, any similarities are completely unintentional. I was watching the 4-door supercar TG episode (for the 100th time), and though that a Rapide in Automation would be cool. I chose the green because it looks like British Racing Green. I did not do the entire car myself, I did the original body, and TheTom did some slight but noticeable changes to it. However, the engine is mine. And yes, those headlights took a while.

Re: Smolensk Tuning

The engineers at Smolensk Tuning do not like being second best. Enter the Type CS, a high-performance version of the Type C. The Type CS is faster than the DQE Tiger, as well as being more fuel efficient. The 536 horsepower comes from a naturally aspirated 4.7L V8, and is carried to the wheels by a 7-speed double-clutch transmission. Eat our dust, DQE! :D

Re: Smolensk Tuning

Hahaha we got some rivalry going on here! Nice! :D

About the Aston, no problem haha. Chances are a lot of people remake real cars ;)

Nothing like a little bit of friendly rivalry to bring out the best of what each company can do.

The next version of the Type C is the Type CR. Powered by a turbocharged 5.8L V8, the car has over 650hp. This makes it the first saloon car to reach 200 miles per hour. In addition, the car gets nearly 26 miles per gallon. This amazing technical feat is unmatched by any other car on the market. The car's blistering acceleration brings it to 60mph in 2.8 seconds. Your move, DQE :D
