Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

here's another design study (like the Futuro and the Futurino were, if i didn't mention that). It's called the Futurino 2, very creative i know. Well, while the name may not be creative, the design is very different. I took the Futurino's platform and threw basically everything away. This time i really put a lot of effort into it, it took me more than half an hour to make these shapes the way they are now. Or rather, the way they WERE because i forgot to save it >.< stupid me!

Image

Image

I think this looks more refined than the old Futurino because now i do have a little bit of experience with LED-style lights and so i can make more interesting shapes. Tell me what you think about it :)

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

I managed to rebuild the Futurino 2. The front looks pretty much identical (as was intended), but the back is slightly changed. Plus, i made it dark red this time. So here it is, i might actually put it into production cause personally i like the design a lot:

Image

If i put this into production i still have to think of a proper name for it but i'm not gonna make this the new design for the old Mantis that some of you might know from my old thread because the Mantis was all about fancy design, fancy colours and so but this doesn't really look good in colours like orange, bright green or bright red.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Thanks Kubboz :) Compliments from someone like you really mean a lot to me! I feel honored ^^

Here's a new one for you guys. Just by looking at the front end, you'll probably recognize which one of my previous models is this one's predecessor!

Image

Image

Image

You've probably guessed correctly. Bright colour, big vents, fat lips, wide arches, 4 exhaust and all that in a compact car. Yes, this is the new Mantis! I'm excited to see that i've actually pulled it off to catch the spirit of the old design and express that style with new LEDs.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

THE NEW EAGLE IS HERE!! At least partially, that is... i still need to rework the back end but i've finished the front which now looks like this:

Image

As you guys may or may not know from my old thread, the Eagle is an everyday sporty coupe (saloon will follow!) with a very wide engine range so you can choose freely whether you want a more sporty one (with up to 900hp in the Eagle HP) or a rather economical one.

I hope you like it, it's a pretty alternative design, compared to today's German equivalents (4 series, C-class, A4 and Passat)

EDIT: Here's the back end! I tried many, many designs and was never quite satisfied with the result but this time i am.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

The 2nd generation AdVance is here, featuring LEDs of course :)

Image

Here's a pic of its 5.0 V8:

Image

This will make it do 0-100kph in 4.0 seconds, and it will reach a top speed of (electronically limited) 250kph. Let me know if you would rather have this than an Opel Zafira or a Nissan Evalia :)

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Hey guys, today i'm going to present you a great car in terms of "bang for your bucks", the Mantis HP! Of course, it comes with a fancy colour, wide arches and 4 exhaust pipes, just like a normal Mantis, but the front is somewhat different.

Image

Image

Image

Obviously, being an HP model, the engine has changed too:

Image

Since the patch doesn't work for some reason, i can't give you the exact price of it. But i'm guessing it would be around 40k-50k €. Even if it's 50k, that's still 20.000€ less than a BMW M3, and yet it's more powerful and will do 300kph.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Now that the update has finally worked and everything has been reset again, i decided to rebuild the Mantis with a little facelift:

Image

Image

Image

There will be 2 different engine blocks, a 2.0 I4 and a 2.5 I6. Both of them will have 3 set-ups: eco, fun and sport. Fun and sport can be NA or Turbocharged, eco will always be turbocharged. So the basic version will be this, the 2.0 Eco:

Image

With 160hp, this is no slouch. It'll even do 0-100kph in just over 6 seconds. And yet, it only uses 4.0 litres of fuel over 100km, which is something like 63 mpg. Of course, i noticed that this car makes negative downforce at 200kph, but i don't think anyone will drive it at 200kph anyway cause this is an everyday eco car.

EDIT: the top version, of course, is the Mantis HP and it has a 4.0L TT V8 with 450hp. And thanks to the AWD and its low weight, that makes for massive acceleration:

Image

[2nd Edit] i don't know why this pic says it uses 235/225mm tyres, in fact it has 255s all around. That makes it corner at 1.09g. [/2nd Edit]

The other car i wanted to show you was the restyled Royal. As before, this is an upperclass saloon with big V8s.

Image

Image

Image

For now, it has a 6.0 V8 with 450hp. And considering its power and weight, and the fact that it's an upperclass saloon which is not supposed to be economical, the fuel consumption is not too bad.

Image

Alright, that's all for today, i hope you enjoy :)

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

New month, new cars, right? :) So here's the new Eagle! This is a competitor for the BMW 4series (and the upcoming Eagle Saloon will be a rival for the 3series). The special thing about this car is, that it'll have reverse-scissor doors, so they open rotating backwards from where the mirrors are.

Image

Image

Image

Obviously, there's an HP version too, which features a 6.0L TT V8. I know this isn't the prettiest car, but it needs all these vents to cool the enormous engine, and it needs the huge wing to keep it stable at 200+mph.

Image

Image

Image

Image

This is by no means a "serious" performance car like the Mantis HP, it's RWD and it's basically a car to have fun in. However, don't forget to watch your speed, since the power of the turbocharged engine will slingshot you forwards with massive acceleration.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Hi guys, today i'm going to show you the new design for the Sparrow! As before, this is a mid-range sports coupe similar to the Toyota GT-86/Subaru BRZ. The normal Sparrow comes with either a 2.0 I4 with 200hp or a 2.5 I4 with 250hp. Since this is a sports car and supposed to go over 200kph, i added the wing which increases drag and lowers the top speed, but it will make for a lot more downforce.

Image

Image

Image

Its big brother, the Sparrow HP, looks a little bit different and it comes with a 3.0L I6T that revs to 7500RPM. i didn't bother taking this engine anywhere near its max, it "only" makes 332hp. But as you will see, it makes for pretty low fuel consumption!

Image

Image

Image

Image

I wanted to make an AWD version of it too, but the engine wouldn't fit in. But i guess as it's a fun to drive sports coupe, RWD is fine. Personally, i think if i had the opportunity to really build one of the cars i've ever designed, i think i would pick this and drive it all day every day. :)

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Ladies and Gentlemen, today i present you something special: a performance hatchback called Dragonfly! (Of course, this car existed before, but it has been redesigned!)
The "normal" Dragonfly is a hot hatch with plenty of power. There's a 2.0 I4t with 300hp and a 3.0 I6 with 360hp, so it's not particularly a slow car considering its very low weight (around 800kg cause it's pretty stripped out).

Image

Image

Image

And then, my friends, there's the absolutely insane Dragonfly SR (SR stands for "Street Racing). It "only" has a 3.5L V8, but thanks to the twin turboes, it makes 550hp. And because it's AWD and extremely light, the performance is incredible! It'll do the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds.

Image

Image

Image

Image

So how much does this pocket rocket cost? Well, i'd be surprised if it was less than 80.000€. That's because the engine is very high-tech so it takes a lot of man hours, and the chassis and panels are all carbon fibre. But of course, this isn't just a hot hatchback, this is the hottest hatchback. It'll even out accelerate million € hypercars over the quarter mile, such as a Pagani Huayra or a Koenigsegg Agera! So i think it's well worth the money.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Enough for tuning other people's cars, time to post something new here! :)
This is the Hawk, a sports coupe that you're gonna buy for its looks and for the sound of the 3.0 I6T which revs to 8000RPM!

Image

Image

Image

Of course, an engine like that makes it actually quite fast:

Feedback is highly appreciated, tell me if you'd want one of these :)

The Hawk is VERY nice, all of it.

Except the exhausts look slightly oversized, but that isn't much of a problem :D Keep it up!

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Here's a hyper-saloon! I'm gonna call it the Lion because it's gonna roar like one with its V8 engines, and because it can eat what others would consider gazelles.
There will be a RWD and an AWD version. The RWD setup allows for a 7.0 TT V8, whereas the AWD configuration required a smaller engine in order to fit, it's a 5.0 TT V8. Both engines make around 1100hp, and obviously the AWD will accelerate quicker. But the RWD has the higher top speed.
So here's a pic of the front, with the stats of the AWD below:

Image

and here's the back end with stats of the RWD version:

Stay tuned for more, maybe another hatchback next time!
