Car Models

Will there be a feature to edit things like fixtures in the model designer??

You see it sometimes where like the Sport version will have slightly different vents then the Super Sport version which would also have like a hood scoop or something.

Re: Car Models

You are able to modify a platform/body.

So lets say you make a VW Golf IV (mark 4) and you want to make the GTI or R32 version, you can reopen it, change some things like making the vents a bit bigger, or even different headlights, and then save with a different name, like, VW Golf IV R32. So no need to make fixtures editable more as possible right now.

Re: Car Models

Well I get that, but I mean, to easier organize everything like the models.

I can edit it in the platform yes, but why can I not edit fixtures and move them around in the model designer too? Because there are cars that change vent set ups and such between models like say the S and SS model of the same car.

It just is pointless to me to have two or three seperate platforms of the same car when thats what the idea of the Platform/Model system seems to be for.

Re: Car Models

There will be some big improvements and to the Model/Platform system in a later update, allowing some more change with vents, humps, lips, wings etc, but still keeping some things the same, like headlight shape and placement, front grille shape and placement (but there will be different styles of grille and light that share the same shape, like chrome variants or projector headlights)

We'll try to strike a balance between making sure different models of the same car still look similar and are perceived as part of the same range and allowing enough freedom to make different varients that look sportier etc.
