Suspension geometry

Hey development team,

in the car designer will we be able to design our suspensions like we can with the engines. things like roll center, spring rates, damping, right height, travel, etc... the geometry in general is so important to how a car handles. are there any plans to make this part in depth too.

Re: Suspension geometry

The suspension is what the devs are working on right now (along with tyres, brakes and probably a lot of other stuff in the car designer). They have released a couple of videos of their current progress which shows that a lot of the adjustments you are asking about will be possible in the next update or the final game, but I cant remember off the top of my head which of the things you are asking for are available, so here are the videos I'm talking about:

Re: Suspension geometry

Thanks Reaper392, yes, that is the current status. Don't expect much more detail to be added to that, driving dynamics simulations and parameterizations are a real pain in the behind... but important indeed. :)

Re: Suspension geometry

Suspension geometry is totally not coming, that's just hell for the devs and for the player (even for the more-nerdy-than-average). The various suspension types will show different behaviour (roll centre, camber change over wheel travel) though.
