Yep, that's correct, as in the leaded fuel era emissions were pretty much just ignored, and mostly off the scale awful.

Did you use carbs? Maybe that other guy used mecanical injection or single/multi point electronic injection?

Perhaps it was an old version, when the ridiculously high emmisions were shown.
