The Swedish Sleeper

Now I'm happy to finally have a decent car which i actually can fit in as a 2 meter tall guy, without compromising comfort and power,
although it is a bit expensive(Danish taxes :D)

Regarding the Poll; i would like to hear your opinion when it comes to styling volvos;
What would you do?

Image

My previous car was a '97 VW Polo classic, and now i'm happy with this '97 Volvo S70 2.5T
Here it stands next to my Parents '02 S80 D5

Leather upholstery FTW!

Decent space all around

Image

And now the Engine: A 2.5 litre inline-5 cylinder 20 valve engine, with a Mitsu' 13G turbocharger topping out at 0.4 Bar

Image

This amounts to 193 hp at 5100 rpm
and 270 nm at 1750 rpm

B5254T is the enginecode
I'm looking forward to really start servicing it, even though I'm a bit green on this area to be honest :)

Re: The Swedish Sleeper

Get a bigger turbo + MAP tuning, bigger downpipe and exhaustsystem.
Can't make a brick pretty but you can make them move like a stung boar :)

Re: The Swedish Sleeper

From what i've heard these engines haven't got as strong internals as the T5 T5R and the R's, this being the crank and the conrods.

Some say that the 13g can pull up to 1.0 bar...

Re: The Swedish Sleeper

Hmm, don't really know much about the 5cylinder engines, but the old redblocks can take 1.5-2 bars with new fuelboxes. I guess you could try 0.7 without any problems.

That is a damn beautiful car btw, just a bit to high ;)

The strange thing is that it handles waaay better than the S80 in the background, and the ride is actually pretty firm,
but as it is now i wouldn't lower it, as this will simply make it too firm(back problems :D )
