Engine rev Differences

I was wondering,, have you ever noticed how if you set the rev limiter to 12000rpm your engine will rev A LOT faster than if it was set at a lower RPM?
I didnt know if this was a bug or something you guys did on purpose,, cant complain though,,, i love this game And this dont bug me i was just curious
