In sandbox mode, when I save an engine having it's ignition timing set at 99, then reload it, the value changes to 100.

I think we have the same problem.

It seems the lowest resolution (1280x720) cuts off the edges of the game only after it is loaded and at the "click to continue" page.

Also I'm having problems with the 4 cylinder aesthetics, the style option doesn't do anything but cycling through the colors cycles through all the styles and colors.

Hey guys,

I found a major bug: You get no extra points for exceeding the lifespan target.

Example: Target 40000km (20%): You always get 200 points (base score), no matter if you have 40000km, 65436km or whatever. Makes some scenarios incredibly hard.

Tested scenarios: Flying Debris, Spinning faster, Stupid Small, Electronic Wizardry.

The latest patch got it working for me. I've started fooling around with the sandbox. The I6 are a great addition.

After the latest update, in Scenario mode (e.g the Green Missile, Kei car, super 2000), I can't use cats with any fuel and fuel system configuration.

I have the same problem now as well.
I also get a long random neg number that ends with mm in the lifespan box in the Cold steel taxi scenario.

Re: Official I6/Revamp Update Feedback Thread.

This may have been mentioned already but after saving an engine in Sandbox mode if I go back to it the A:FR is always set way too rich and sometimes the exhaust diameter changes. This was after patching to build 158.

Re: Official I6/Revamp Update Feedback Thread.

Hey guys,

the lifespan limits are still not working: This time you may stay below the limits and still get points for it. Due to the usual score calculation, you then get even more points for staying more far below the limit.

Re: Official I6/Revamp Update Feedback Thread.

My personal feedback:

Biggest complaint at first (based on my past Automation experience) was the fact that max bottom end RPM was rather low compared to what it used to be. I now notice that it is also a factor of stroke length, which kind of blew my mind considering how my real-life 4G64 build is VERY dependent on working around high stroke.

Inline six SFX are pretty awesome.

Fully scaling bore/stroke is even more awesome. I'm also liking the new system of engine configuration THEN cylinder number. Inline, V, flat, W, VR, rotary, it really cleans up the list a lot better. Just not a fan of how flatplane V8's kind of stick out like a sore thumb there.

I'm kind of missing flywheel thickness. I was looking forward to putting a tiny flywheel on a big engine and seeing the quick revs. And on the topic, I feel like the throttle slider should jump back down to 0% when you let go, like a realistic gas pedal. I don't have to pull back the throttle after I let off. (actually I did for a while.. Stupid short throttle cable -__- )

I'm also really liking the quality slider. It's like you can see the difference between building a name-brand-part engine or throwing eBay parts on your engine.

And feel free to say no but I think it'd be cool if the fuel injectors scaled larger/smaller in thickness with AFR.. Just a thought. :-P

Also a big fan of different valve covers, can't wait for the selection to increase!

The air-lifter thingy on single point EFI is untouched, just as a minor thing I think you should change the color of that similar to the ones on carburetors.

Not too much of a fan of the heat shields. Not sure why.

Future thing to consider (I haven't played around with the sounds yet but otherwise I don't know the variety of SFX so far) would be a wider range of sounds with a selection of exhaust manifold. I know shorter, less equal-length headers will have a more uneven rumble than the clean, crisp sound of longer runners on an equal-length. Just something to throw around.

Re: Official I6/Revamp Update Feedback Thread.

Well that the Enginelife will be shortend by a higher stroke is quite logical. More stroke means a higher piston spead, and with that you have higher wear and friciton :)

Re: Official I6/Revamp Update Feedback Thread.

found a few bugs,

1. in the scenario section under tutorials the scenario "spinning faster" has an emissions goal of 400g/kwh and ive gotten it down to 1200g/kwh. in the hints and tips it says that cat converters lower emissions considerably but it doesnt give you the option of adding one, might be a small goof.

2. if you up the tech year to 2020 and click on a magnesium block in the description box it gives an error and there isnt any description. small error but just thought youd like to know :)
