Problem when saving engines

Hey,

I have a little problem. When I save my engine, everything looks good.

But when I'm in the engine managment and want to revise the same engine THIS happens:

The values changed. When I change something and then back to the former settings, everything is back to normal. But the problem comes again everytime.
This happens to every engine I make.
Its frustrating, you know?^^

Re: Problem when saving engines

Nope, the problem is still there. Installed the new patch. Now the problem looks a bit different than before (But I think its still the same).

I created an engine for testing with all settings on default. When I click on "revise engine" after saving, the fuel mixture jumps to 10.3:1 (default 14.7:1), cam profile to 39 (default 40) and exhaust diameter to 1.75" (default 1.50").
I reinstalled Automation to see if this will fix it, but the problem is still there.

Re: Problem when saving engines

I'm having the same problem as Arvarik regarding the fuel mixture and cam profile amounts being changed, but my exhaust diameter is untouched..

Re: Problem when saving engines

Same bug. AFR jumps to 11:1, exhaust to 2.75". Everything else is untouched.

EDIT: My god, even the saved scenario engines are getting load-bugged.

That error occurs when one or more files have become corrupted relating to the game executable.

If you have been patching up from 112, the old automation unfortunately had an ineffectual uninstaller. Download and run and click clean on this cleaner tool Automation Cleaner It will leave the launcher in place, but will scrub the old game files out. Then you should be able to reinstall automation. You can let it work itself out and download the game fresh, or all the Installers it has downloaded so far, should be kept in My Documents\automation\Installers, but the latest patch it downloaded might be corrupted (would have the file name: Automation_Release_b153-157_b158_Patch), so delete that file.

Re: Problem when saving engines

It works! Patch 159 did it! Thank you!

EDIT:

Stop! I was wrong. At first it worked all good. But at the last engine I made it was back again. So I created an new engine to test it. Now its gone again. I'm really confused :?

EDIT2:
Now it happened again. The bug is still there.

Re: Problem when saving engines

What values on what sliders are changing from what to what?

E.g. Ignition timing 51 when saved, on load is now 55.

Re: Problem when saving engines

Ok, now it gets really strange.

The settings I made (just values for testing):
before.png
before.png (1.54 MiB) Viewed 7876 times

The testresults:
vorher05.PNG
vorher05.PNG (1.41 MiB) Viewed 7876 times

And now after saving and reopen it:
nachher01.PNG
nachher01.PNG (1.41 MiB) Viewed 7876 times

No single value has changed, but the testresults have.

Re: Problem when saving engines

Re: Problem when saving engines

I think I have tracked down the problem. The VVL high cam loads as 60 in the engine calculations but it loads correctly in the top end tap.
Changing the high cam 1 down and 1 up before you test the engine fixes the problem.
