I agree with this to a point but as the build stands right now its ok, octane should (and is as far as I can tell it is) based on year and location of the factory, you put the factory in lets say Cuba you will only really have 72 octane for most of the game, put it in Truckee, CA and you wont find high octanes either due to the high altitude, the way it is now is pretty good since most people wont be driving down to the airport to fill up on the still available 100/130 octane leaded. I think maybe more choices of fuel such as nitro-methane, LNG, or Propane would be a better addition in future updates instead, would add a whole new dimension to the game. Also you really wont be running 12:1 with 30lbs of boost, thats a sure fire way to blow up your engine in a hurry, most engines run much lower compression and high boost because of this, if you do boost a high compression engine (my truck for example with 22.5:1 compression) you can only run at MOST 12-15 PSI BRIEFLY and that is really really pushing it, I usually only see 1-3 PSI boost unloaded and around 5-8 loaded with the occasional jump to 13-15 when I floor it although this is a diesel

A gasoline engine would not be able to handle that stress.
