V6’s default V-angle

If I have understood correctly, you cant adjust the V –angle of the engine even in the final version of the game (wich is fine by me), but then my question is that what will be the standard angle for V6 engine from where you pick up sounds and data?

I assume it will be 60 degrees, am I right?

Re: V6’s default V-angle

Currently we look into two options to choose from: both 60 deg and 90 deg. :)

Re: V6’s default V-angle

Ok that would be cool. Just that what would be the ingame advantage(s) of the 90 deg V6 over the 60 deg V6? We know that the optimal angle for the V6 is 60 deg, and some manufacturers produce 90 deg V6’s just to benefit from their 90 deg V8 production line.

Re: V6’s default V-angle

i wonder if it will be possible to make low angle V6's like VR6?
it's more compact and has roughly the same power as regular V6's :)

^That, they'd be cheaper to manufacture with V8s, as in you could maybe share a production line. Or at least minimize design costs.

Re: V6’s default V-angle

Oh ok. I was just thinking that it would be -gameplay wise- a bit far fetched to make the 90 deg V6's cheaper only in case if you also build V8's. But who knows, maybe its going to work out just fine. Just that it might be justified to make the game inform the player about why sometimes the 90 deg V6's are cheap to build and other times they are not. You might also want to look the option to make it cheaper even without V8 production line.

Anyways, im very happy that you decided to include them both :)

Re: V6’s default V-angle

They aren't any cheaper to make unless you're sharing stuff with V8s though, but yes, that's quite possible gameplay wise.
