New sounds news

I just looked at it, and 3 main things come to my mind :
1) Awesome !
2) Where are the News topics gone ? Why were there and no more now ?
3) It seems you're using multiple sound files for each part of the RPMs. But couldn't the swapping be more smoothed ? I can hear the file change...

Re: New sounds news

The news topics used to post themselves, but with the new website they need to be done manually it seems :P

They are pretty much as smoothed as they can be, though there is a strange transition just before the revlimiter on some of them that I don't quite understand, is that what you can hear?

Re: New sounds news

I'm rehearing the video as I'm writing this :
Race I4 sounds laggy, the race v8 too but a little less.
What kind of speakers are you using ? I'm using monotoring ones, so I may get sounds you don't hear :D
Two last things :
I did not really look for it, but is there a way to edit a topic's name ?
Those sounds are just too awesome for benchmarking : could there be an option for us to manually throttle and play with the engine ?

Re: New sounds news

There will be manual throttle yup.

You can edit topic names, but I can't remember where the thing is hidden!

I'm using Sennheiser HD555 headphones, not amazing but better than most cheap and nasty stuff.

Re: New sounds news

I don't know this one, but I know Sennheiser's good. I'm using M-Audio AV30 speakers.
I forgot one thing : when will this sound wonder be available ? :)
