Re: Fastest Engine Made

NM don't make you fast... but they crush engine internals :P should be able to make some ~1900hp.

5, as you can see in the picture, (quad cam 40 valve = 5 valves/cylinder).

That engine was made aiming to have max horsepower. I think that's the max hp you can get, but the engine has lousy torque.

Next let's try to make max torque engine. Post yours.

Yeah, It's torque is lousy. It is just one 1 Nm too great.

You are wrong. Removing cats & mufflers only makes it louder, not affecting on power (if exhaust is large enough). And with 4 valve vvt+vvl you can have only 1853 hp.

I have to admit that 1872 Nm is pretty good number! I'm struggling around 1600 Nm and I don't have a glue how to get more..

Re: Fastest Engine Made

I still don't know why people are so obsessed by this building the most powerful engine, as there is only a single option (which makes it a boring task). The 1862hp (1388.7 kW) are the highest possible indeed.

How about something a bit less one-dimensional? Build me the longest life 1000hp+ engine you can, for example. :)

Re: Fastest Engine Made

I think max torque engine is not as easy as it seems. Or then I just don't get something.. I'm stuck @ 1596 Nm. I can't find the key to get even near AutoHappiness's 1872 Nm. I'm starting to think he messed up with the numbers and they were maybe 1854hp / 1472Nm instead of 1454 hp/1872 Nm.
