Only a few options of my concern: mostly Mazda,Toyota,Fiat and Hyundai elements. And maybe a bit of BMW. Cool and cheap!

Edit:So I've been thinking, I'm going to combine Rolls-Royce with Kia. Power (and luxury) to the people!

I'm now thinking of basing my company off what I imaging Mercedes Benz would be if it swapped places with BMW (i.e. more sport focused instead of luxury focused)

I fancy making a budget company a bit like Lada and seeing if what i could produce on a min amount of funds but actually make it look worth buying :?
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

The next big thing in auto industries :D ...

Very focused on racing style with powerful reliable engines which are not based on any special company.
So it will be my very own style :)

I want my company to have a bit of a sporty/performance soul but for the masses. Cars that as a car guy you'd be proud to own even if you had to have a family car or a cheap econo box. I want to bring my love for cars to everyone and get them to see why one car is great.

Audi, BMW and VW it is for me. I just love their cars.
And of course I'll have a go at my own company as well.

I'm now thinking of making an automotive division of Aperture Science. Which means an anti-lemon all-rounder in all things, including failure.

Re: What car maker are you going to base your company on?

I think I would go for the 60's - 70's Datsun. Make good and cheap cars for the mass public. Although.. I do have some plans for that amazing Inline 6 engine. Other than that, I'll probably go for the absolutely bonkers company called TVR. Make the car as hard to drive as possible and with very few safety features.

Definitely Yugo. Not really by choice, mostly because I have a feeling all my cars are going to be crap.
