Pyrlix, add it to HQ essentials ;)

O man, now I have ANOTHER body to try out...... le sigh

Srry, DeusExMackia, your reveal layout was too nice, I stoles it :P

Lost an entire second off my lap time with minimal fuel consumption increase and only -.1 more camber. I BROKE THE 2:19.00 BARRIER.... and in a 2-door SUV.....

If that's a SUV, than I'm a bodybuilder.

TheBobWiley wrote:On the first page, Der Bayer added a .csv file that will show you your fuel consumption per lap. the race will be around 5.5 - 6 hours long from what I have heard so you can figure out your fuel needs based on your average lap time and fuel used per lap. I will be making between 12 and 14 pits for example.

That would be amazing, except I'm using an entirely different car. :bummer:

Der Bayer does dirver fatigue drop while in pits? Also one or two cars for the race?

squidhead wrote:Also the ehm... let's call them "joker cars" (as in ones that were entered without much consideration that an endurance race might be longer than 1 lap), have mixed the field up quite a bit, so retrieving data that I could use is now also more complicated.

You can call them joker cars but just because my car goes through tank in 5 laps it doesn't mean it's a joke. Hear me out. Let's say I can extend my range from 5.2 to 6 laps per tank and my pitstop will be at roughly 42 sec. since my average lap time is 2.15 that means that throughout the race I'm "lapping" at around 2.22. Which is midfield.

There can be driver swaps. You set when they happen in the BRCTOOL. When the drivers swap, it drops.

I am aware of that but I wonder if it also drops slightly while car is not moving in pits.

Probably Normans would.

Trying to make a Turbo car that is respectably fast and yet doesn't guzzle fuel.

-.- This might take some work.

I'd be interested to know if anyone thinks they have done this.

Edit: That, or one that pits every lap.

Edit2: Why is the reliability going up with increased stroke?!? This is not normal engine.

I need to leave the house.

That would really depend heavily on your definition of "respectably fast". I have a turbo which should do significantly better on fuel than my NA, but it isn't quite as fast. Working on getting a bit more top end from it, but it currently does 2:27's around Hockenheim with 300-ish hp (I4) and gets around 15mpg. The NA was 12, and the turbo I ran was 9. I am confident I can get this engine to compete with the 4.9L in times. Unsure if I can get it lower though, so probably a 2:25ish engine. I know that isn't a 2:15 car, or even a 2:20 car, but if I can manage to save 3 stops, that's worth 45 seconds on total track time. Here is the fuel consumption graph for each one.

I think it is, if the reliability is limited by valve float?

hmm i think need 11 pit stops... maybe more. and same camber angle front and rear = higher wear on the rear tires? im guessing this is due to stress put on the rear tires?
and im REALLY dreading this rain possibility.

This is my turbo, rated 13 laps even though the video showed it had fuel for 17 (???), starting right behind my NA. ~2:20
