Survival of the fittest [FINISHED]
You're forgetting that next stage is full on tarmac, and your car is very very offroad oriented, Madrias
Re: Survival of the fittest [Stage 1 results]
My car's a blend of compromises that lean toward offroad, yes, but I do have power. The Envy may not be built for paved track racing, but if luck is on my side, it should hang in there a little longer.
Granted, my luck lately... It's not been that great.

Arrrrgh I wanted to join this but work was simply too busy this week!
Re: Survival of the fittest [Stage 1 results]
This seems to work for the most part (i already found things i'd like to change), so I'll probably host another one at some point

Re: Survival of the fittest [Stage 1 results]
I will check out the appearance of new bodies and tech and set the year between 76 and 80 I am guessing, on a year that gives the most significant new technology.
Also this stacking of damage and penalties is a pain in the ass to calculate, but I got ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA, which car is actually best
which is quite fun.

Just read your comment and winced.
I resubmitted my car because it was $223,000 in Markets...and I brought it down to $30,000 with HUGE compromises. My "uber" car was >$30,000 in Total costs.
Pretty sure I'm out next round.

Re: Survival of the fittest [Stage 1 results]
I have a suggestion for the next SOF (because I think it's a great concept and you are doing great as a host). I usually do not like to do that before one round is complete but I'm sure I will forget otherwise.
I think that next stage time penalty should somehow depend on reliability you are running. So a car with a score 35 will be in more trouble than one with 55...
In the next stage both these stats will drop by 5%, meaning 47.5 for each, and your next stage immediately gains 5% penalty due to car' being damaged.

Re: Survival of the fittest [Stage 1 results]
Yeah, I figured that's sorta not the way it should be. For the next event I thougth to only add time penalty because of damage to cars with reliability of under 50. But this event - we're finishing the way we started, don't want to change rules mid event.
Re: Survival of the fittest [Stage 1 results]
Until stage 1 resoults I was 100% that's already the case
What's your time plan for next stages?
