Screenshot of the sedan bumper being highlighted. Also note the thumbnail is also of a sedan and not the new station wagon body.

Run it in windowed mode :)

That's exactly what I had to do...should've tried it before originally posting.

Re: Open Beta: Suspension & Dynamics (B1319)

Loving the update - I'm getting closer to being able to simulate my project Ford Anglia with a 280bhp V6 engine - I've managed to make a 2.5 litre, 280bhp twin-turbo V8, and can specify the correct wheel/tyre size :)

All I need now is to be able to figure out the suspension settings - what units are the suspension settings in?

I've updated the suspension crash course post with the units of the different settings. The link to that thread is in my signature. :)

Re: Open Beta: Suspension & Dynamics (B1319)

I don't know if it counts as a bug as such (and if it does then its almost certainly very low priority), but this evening I spent ages trying to make the perfect VW Golf GTI MKI replica. Pretty much everything I needed for the body was available, and I managed to get the peak power and torque to within ~0.4 of their proper values at the correct RPM, using all the settings I could find on that website you suggested in the engine stats gathering thread and modifying whatever settings were left. However, when I tried to fit the engine in as a transverse it wouldn't fit because it was too long a considerable margin . This was with the roomiest front suspension available and the simplest 4 speed gearbox I could make.

There is a little circular thing at the back of the engine that has wires going to it. I don't really know much about engines so i don't know if it is possible to move this when you have mechanical fuel injection, but doing so might just solve the problem. Or, since the gearbox scales to the size of the car, it shouldn't clip with the gearbox and it might be able to be ignored while fitting the engine (not sure about a longitudinal mounted engine though, since big engines go right up against the dashboard)

Re: Open Beta: Suspension & Dynamics (B1319)

Please be more precise about your problem.

Which saves do not work? Engines, platforms, models? All of them or just a few?
Which game version are you running?
What exactly is happening? What do you do before something does not work? Error messages?

Re: Open Beta: Suspension & Dynamics (B1319)

If you mean that there are no saves from previous game builds: Yeah, that's how it is supposed to be. Old saves are not compatible anymore. This will probably happen again and again on the way of completing the game.

Or do you mean your designs made and saved in the current game build do not show up? That would be weird, it's at least working for me.

Re: Open Beta: Suspension & Dynamics (B1320)

I constantly get a Nil value when attempting to load my Twin Turbo V8 into my RWD Car I built, I can however assume you guys have seen this bug already but if not PM me and i can provide a screenshot.
