Hint 2: Yes it is Japanese, and it went in production in 1971 (the car pictured is a 1979 model)

Ford Anglia of some year, the one before the one in Harry Potter. I'm not good at Fords.

EDIT: Google tells me a 100E is the technical term, and it may also be a Popular 100E as they look the same it seems.

Yep, I actually searched for a '59 Popular but later found out the '59 Anglia is pretty much identical on the outside. The only difference was the badge on the bonnet which either read "Popular" or "Anglia" and I Photoshopped that out.

So yeah, you win!
