Re: True or False: Forum game

True over the course of my automotive ownership history. And to make things more interesting, I have had 3 different OHV configs (H4, V6, V8), 2 different SOHC configs (H4, I4), and 3 different DOHC configs (H4, I4, V6).

TNP has owned both carbs and FI, and thinks Carbs are the devil.

True! I've only driven little 4-cylinders (Citroen DS3 and Peugeot 207). :)

TNP has also driven a Citroen DS3.

Re: True or False: Forum game

Technically true, since the C3 and the DS3 are almost identical, except for appearance.

TNP has started driving several years before getting his license

Re: True or False: Forum game

True, because I was racing before I could get a road licence!

TNP has beaten my personal worst fuel consumption of 3 miles per gallon (UK) averaged over a full tank of fuel. (That's 94 litres per 100km for you heathens ;) )

Re: True or False: Forum game

False. The only way that would even be possible is if I filled up, drove home, then decided to use the engine as a stationary generator for the rest of the tank.

TNP has averaged more than 40 MPG over a full tank (excluding diesels and hybrids)

Re: True or False: Forum game

True, I did 73mpg over a full tank once in my 1.4 Peugeot 306, although it was long runs at 50mph. I never got near it again!

TNP plays 'fuel light bingo' in which they try to see how long they can make the car go for with the low fuel light on....

Re: True or False: Forum game

False. Very much the opposite. Spent a few years as a professional driver, and have a spotless record. My recent accident was the other driver's fault (I got rear-ended in stop and go traffic... she hit the back of my trailer)

TNP has towed a trailer weighing more than 2000 lbs.

No, the heaviest trailer (and the only one) I had ever towed weighs about 1000 lbs (inflatable boat with 10hp engine).

False. Homeowner. Of an actual house. Not a townhouse or anything like that.

TNP practiced driving on a gravel mountain road before they were 17.

Re: True or False: Forum game

Tralse, there are no mountains here, but I had driven in sites where I needed to use diff-lock 4WD. Once, I drove on a 9-10 inches deep gravel pit and I had to use low 4WD, scary moment.

TNP got rain inside his car.

Re: True or False: Forum game

Tralse, I don't have a car (I am too young to drive), but one time riding in the back seat of a sedan the front passenger window was open and rain got in the back seat.
