Do please surprise me with the difference between these two pictures that could be use to determine whether the car is a Sigma or a Diamante.

I agree with conan here - the cut out of your pic was leading to two results. Which both are correct - as the Sigma is technically the same as the Diamante. So you claim that the Diamante/Sigma you posted is not a Diamante, but just a Sigma.
To see the difference it requires the rear-quarter window, therefore your both the answer Diamante and Sigma are correct, as we only saw a small part of the front.

So Leo9613 was the first one to be right.

Well i'll apologize for that because i didn't know what a mitsubishi diamante was and at the time of searching for what it was after leo answered it, i could only use bing because google was broken. And bing only brought up pictures of newer diamantes that only looked remotely similiar.
