You are not alone comrade! I too have resisted the scourge of "forced" induction... The name says it all really, Capitalism has forced all who follow its decadence to violate their freedom for the promise of a better life! :P

Indeed not, I, too, have resisted the decadence of turbo! Introducing perhaps the most Communist car of them all, the Tovarisc (or, more properly, товарищ!)

Admire those resolute lines! No fancy filigree here (well, at least, not on the outside).

GG got their hands on one, and decided to have a bit of fun with it, very much in the same vein as everything else cheap and 'cheerful' they've been tuning up lately. However we've been on a bit much of a turbo binge, so we felt it time to invest in some good old fashion natural power, strong and hearty like a communist worker!

Well, more like, I kept breaking the carbs due to 'too much boost', so I thought, screw it, I'll go NA.

Edit: Much better! No more capitalist English lettering in the car name! Too bad about the other decal though...

Re: (1980) Communist Trophy Racing

Some are more equal than others... my workmen have used latest and best soviet technology for the Molotok - its powerful, fast and yellow. We only had yellow available.

But my tovarish Vladimir and Artyom made a good work - Soviet Union is proud of them.

Here is my, a decadent capitalist pig dog, take on Communism Race Car.

It's the SCM 20Vx2 K. Even I have absolutely no idea what those numbers and letters means. It sports the V8 engine with 2 sets of 20 valves producing sufficient number of horsepower, many driving lamps, and 4 exhausts tail pipe.

 so ostentatious! So excessive! And so expensive!!! (Even I, purveyor all many excesses, balked at the bill for direct mechanical injection!)

Strop's skinny front tires are weird. I wonder what he's up to.

Well, he's got a mid-engined car, probably with 30/70 weight distribution. The skinny tires probably help the tameness so much they improve the times.

Dacia Liberta Rally

A tribute to an absolutely mediocre Romanian rally car - the Dacia Liberta - that I adored as a kid

Image

I tried to keep it as true to the original as could, so it's NA, FF (I wish there was an option for longitudinal FF), McPherson strut front, torsion beam rear (again, no option for solid rear axle in FF configuration). Unlike it's real sibling, this one is set in motion by a V8 with some serious grunt. Much like the real thing, it should get its ass whipped.
