It could honestly be any car with round lights, the pic is too small to have a unique characteristic.

I'll list a few cars:
Tommykaira KZ1, Datsun 240Z, Lotus Elise, RUF CTR Yellowbird

It could honestly be any of those.

Yes, It's a Melkus RS 1000. It features gull-wing doors, rear mid-engine layout and uses Wartburg 1.0 L straight-3, 2-stroke engine. Only 101 were produced from 1969 to 1979, it was a few Eastern Bloc sports cars, and nicknamed the "East German Porsche" or "Ferrari of the East". Melkus also produces RS 2000 (Lotus Elise chassis with Volkswagen/Opel engine), but the company was bankrupt since August 2012.
