Unfortunately, developing a game takes more than a willing it. :)

Well yeah, I guess I should've been more specific =)
What I meant was if we can get enough capable people interested, we can get together a team.

I understood exactly that, and what I meant is that you need more than a capable team, namely lots of time (~10 manyears+) and money (~$300000+).

imho, the top-down look is more then enough for a good evening laugh, and some reference point for your cars against other player cars, because comparing numbers is boring

Well they said that it was impossible to have multiplayer in ETS2, but somehow it happened. Yes, it will take a long time to develop a racing manager expansion, no doubt about that, but it will probably happen at some point later on. (And I don't mean a full on sim, just something basic, like pole position 2010 is very achievable for a small team of developers)

If you're going to use Pole Position as a reference... might as well also mention a few web race managers (like GPRO for example). Actually that would be very effective once cost of cars is fully realized.

While I agree that GPRO is a good manager and a good example, it's overly complicated in my opinion. PP10 is a bit of a middle ground, bordering on oversimplified. Another good example would be Ondarun, it has regular cars, track editor, and overall a good basis.
